Hello to everyone who participated, helped organize or simply attended our 4th annual Softball Tournament! The below images are results from all the round robin games - playoff detail to follow soon!
Round Robin Final Game ScoresHere (left) are the results from the tournament Round Robin games played - each of the 28 teams played 3 games on Friday evening and Saturday morning/afternoon, which was a total of 42 games to determine the top 8 teams that would advance to the single elimination playoffs!
Division Standings
The divisions would look like this (below) after all the preliminary games had finished:
6 of the 7 divisions had a clear dominant team with a record of 3-0 after the round robin games.
However the Southwest Division was up for grabs right up to the final game - and the last divisional game between Zion & Holy Rollers Painting would determine the team to receive a playoff birth.
Team Rankings (Entire Pool)
With many teams tied with a record of 2-1, the determining factor for the wildcard team would look at the number of runs allowed, and when we rank the teams based the number of wins and number of runs allowed, the complete rankings would look like this...
There were several teams with a record of 2-1, hoping to earn the wild card spot in the playoffs. The final games would have to finish before a clear wild card team could be determined. As you can see from the rankings above - it was a matter of 3 runs that separated the wild card team from the next closest team.
